Running SQL Examiner or SQL Data Examiner in x64 environment

Before version 2010 R2 (4.1.0.0), SQL Examiner Suite ran in x86 (32-bit) mode on all operating systems.

Starting from version 2010 R2, SQL Examiner Suite runs in x64 mode on 64-bit operating systems. If you use a 64-bit OS, you may encounter some problems when upgrading from the earlier versions of SQL Examiner Suite, which require x86 libraries for accessing Oracle and MySQL servers (whereas running in x64 mode requires x64 libraries, which may be not installed or not set up).

You can download the x64 libraries from here:

Oracle Instant Client Basic for Windows (x64):
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/winx64soft-089540.html

MySQL Connector/ODBC 5.1.8:

Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=c06b8369-60dd-4b64-a44b-84b371ede16d

Please note that you will not be able to install a 64-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 if you have a 32-bit version of Microsoft Office 2010 installed on your computer.

If you need SQL Data Examiner to run in x86 mode on a x64 platform, please use the 32-bit version of the program (GUI and command line versions) located in the program folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\SQL Accessories\SQL Examiner Suite\SQLDataExaminer-x86.exe).
