- Feature: It is possible to hide unnecessary buttons of the main toolbar now.
- Feature: When creating a backup of a SQL Server 2008 database, it is now possible to use compression now.

MS Access issues:
- Bug fix: The items in the column lists are now sorted by the order in a table, not by alphabetical order.
- Bug fix: It is possible to compare/synchronize MS Access tables that are linked to an external source now.
- Feature: Support for SQL Server 2008 and its key innovations (note: as MS SQL Server 2008 has not been released yet, we tested the work of SQL Examiner Data 2008 using the latest available beta version Microsoft SQL Server code name "Katmai" (CTP) - 10.0.1049.14);
- Feature: Opportunity to compare different types of objects, including views;
- Feature: Opportunity to use SQL-query as comparison source;
- Feature: Command line parameter /ProcessPriority, that allows to set the priority of the application has been added;

- Feature: Now you can use a database backup as a synchronization source. For your convenience SQL Data Examiner compares a live database with a previous backup without even restoring it.
- Feature: SQL Data Examiner provides full support for all MS Windows Vista significant features and innovations, and meets all the demands and recommendations of the Microsoft Corporation for applications for Windows Vista.
- Change: The SQL Data Examiner Console Mode Tool has been improved. Input errors are handled more precisely now, the messages the tool displays are more detailed.
- Bug fix: The bug occurred when using SQL Authentication in console mode has been fixed.
- Feature: The full MS Windows Vista support has been added.
- Change: The program saves the “checked for synchronization” property of tables and separate records when you refresh current project.
- Bug fix: Some minor GUI bugs have been fixed.
- Feature: The support of the Console Mode has been added. Now you can compare and synchronize databases according to a schedule, to run comparison of databases from other programs and scripts, etc;
- Feature: When selecting key columns it is possible to take unique constraints and indexes into account;
- Change: The program saves the size of the New project window after you have closed it.
- Bug fix: The bug resulted in attempts of the program to update computed columns.
- Bug fix: Sometimes when updating the text fields there occurred a bug resulted in the disappearance of the line feed symbols.
- Bug fix: The bug occurred when one compared tables containing a column with the name CHECKED;
- Bug fix: The bug occurred sometimes when comparing varbinary fields.
- Bug fix: The bug occurred because a temporary file locks when the script is being generated.
- Feature: it is possible to pass over the process of retrieving a table when it is delayed;
- Feature: when the process of comparison is completed, it is possible to select the Duplicate rows or Duplicate columns option to review the differences;
- Feature: The Find function has been added. It enables the user to find data when the comparison results are displayed.
- Feature: The Save password option has been added;
- Bug fix: the bug of generating the script when the columns were used with a user-defined type as a data type;
- Bug fix: sometimes there was a system failure when two copies of the program had been run at the same time;
- Bug fix: data was incorrectly displayed when not all the columns of a table had been retrieved;
- Bug fix: the foreign language characters and symbols of currency were incorrectly displayed.
