June 26, 2008 – We are proud to announce the SQL Examiner Suite 2008 R2 is released. The next generation of our database comparison and synchronization tool, it was enriched by a great number of new features added to sake of users. The most essential and asked for features are:

  • Comparison and synchronization with SQL script files. Now SQL Examiner 2008 R2 allows comparing databases with SQL scripts.
  • Opportunity to update the results of SQL queries. SQL Data Examiner 2008 R2 not only comparing results of SQL queries, but also synchronizing these results.
  • Support of MySQL.The new version of SQL Data Examiner supports not only SQL Server, Oracle and Access, but also MySQL. As in previous versions, you can compare and synchronize data among different servers, for example SQL Server with Oracle, or Access with MySQL etc.
  • The results of data comparison now can be saved as HTML report.

April 3, 2008 - SQL Examiner Suite 2008 R2 beta 1 is out. Join the beta-testing! To get your copy right now, go to our SQL Examiner Suite 2008 R2 beta page and fill out the registration form. The beta version contains many new features and changes that require your feedback, including the comparison and synchronization of SQL script files created in, for example, SQL Management Studio or SQL Examiner and the opportunity to synchronize the results of SQL-queries, so now it is possible to update data in tables included in a query. December 14, 2007 - We are glad to announce that SQL Examiner Suite 2008 build 2.1 has been released and is available for download. We tried to get rid of all the bugs that may have been left in the major update, as well as added a few extra features that were requested by our users. November 7, 2007 – We are glad to announce that SQL Examiner Suite 2008 has been released. The new version has some significant changes in the engine with improved usability, including:

  • Support for SQL Server 2008 and all its significant innovations. The newly released version of the program allows you to work with all SQL Server versions from 7.0 to 2008;
  • Support for Oracle and MS Access. SQL Data Examiner 2008 compares databases that are on servers supplied by different vendors, e.g. SQL Server and Oracle;
  • Improved engine of the schema comparison tool that also implies support for column renaming, extended comparison options, and more;
  • Extended comparison opportunities. When you compare data, you can use not only tables, but also views and SQL–query as the comparison source; the other changes include support for column mapping, additional filtering options, and more.

Besides, we hope you’ll appreciate the features that have been added to make your work with SQL Examiner Suite more convenient, like use of recent comparisons, preview and search bar for SQL Data Examiner 2008, Console Mode Settings Wizard for SQL Examiner 2008, access to other external applications, and more. May 18, 2007 – We’re extremely pleased to announce that our SQL Examiner Suite has now earned the Microsoft’s “Certified for Windows Vista” logo. February 1, 2007 – A new version of SQL Examiner Suite that includes SQL Examiner 1.6 and SQL Data Examiner 1.2 is available. The version provides vastly improved support for comparison and synchronization of backups. Not only this, but we have also improved support for MS Windows Vista, fixed bugs to resolve recently reported problems, and added some minor changes. December 11, 2006 – A maintenance update for SQL Examiner Suite, which includes SQL Examiner 1.5.5 and SQL Data Examiner 1.1.5, has been released and is now available for download. The maintenance release fully supports both 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows Vista. It also includes a few minor changes and bug fixes to resolve recently reported problems. November 15, 2006 – The updated version of SQL Examiner Suite has been released. We’ve added new features to make the Suite meet any of your SQL synchronization needs. The SQL Data Examiner Command Line tool provides access to the SQL Data Examiner features via the command line interface, so you can compare and synchronize databases according to a schedule, to run the database comparison from other programs and scripts, etc. SQL Examiner enables you to compare the source codes of CLR-objects. September 4, 2006 – SQL Examiner 1.4 is now available. Because CLR has been integrated into Microsoft SQL Server 2005, the key new feature of SQL Examiner 1.4 is its support of CLR objects. Now you can compare and synchronize stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, user-defined types and user-defined aggregates that are written in CLR-targeted languages, including Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual C#. July 1, 2006 – We are delighted to introduce a new software utility, SQL Data Examiner, a database contents comparison and synchronization tool that will handle routine manual work, thus saving you valuable time. March 29, 2006 - We are happy to announce the new release of SQL Examiner 1.3. The latest version of our database comparison and synchronization tool allows users to compare and synchronize data via command-line interface. That means you can now set a schedule to automate the synchronization process or launch SQL Examiner from other tools you use in your work. In addition, we have extended the tool’s options to include multi-file backup copies and synonyms. The synchronization mechanism has also been improved.

December 12, 2005 - We are pleased to announce that SQL Examiner 1.2 is now available. The latest version supports partial synchronization, meaning that without editing the script manually you can now synchronize just a few columns or constraints that differ in a table. Support for SQL Server 2005 backups has been added. In addition, you can now compare and synchronize full-text search directories and database extended properties. Some minor changes have also been made to improve the efficiency of your work with SQL Examiner.

September 12, 2005 - We are pleased to present Examiner 1.1. The latest version of our tool allows users to compare and synchronize Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database schemas. We have added support for the new SQL Server 2005 data types (xml and max-types), schemas, xml-indexes, triggers and permissions, and modified the update check mechanism. Also, we’ve made some minor changes.

July 25, 2005 - We are happy to announce the release of SQL Examiner 1.0. We have made additional improvements in the features and usability of our database comparison and synchronization tool. Now the main version of the program includes a unique feature that can compare a database with a backup or a detached database. Along with this feature, we've introduced some minor improvements to make your work with SQL Examiner easier.

June 15, 2005 - SQL Examiner 0.9 has been released. This new version features the ability to analyze data stored in a database and take it into account while synchronizing database schemas. It also secures the process from data loss, provides better control over synchronization and ensures that a high-quality non-excessive code will be generated.

March 21, 2005 - SQL Examiner 0.8.10 has been released. We have updated the program and introduced some useful new features. We have added another step in the synchronization process, so now you can review and solve possible synchronization errors. Another added feature is that the object tree now supports multiple selections that are used to select a group of objects for further synchronization. We’ve also made some minor changes.
